Homemade Christmas Gifts

This year for Christmas I've decided to make gifts instead of buying. To me they have more meaning and you've actually put time into the gift. I am a stay at home mom to a beautiful daughter and I wanted to get her something she will love this year. But since my husband and I recently moved so he could get his nursing degree we are limited with our money. I've found that making my daughter some gifts has been so much fun, I can't wait until Christmas morning when she sees all that I've made.
Here's a few links to some of the projects I've been working on.

I noticed the other day that my daughter LOVES balls, but she doesn't have any. So I came across this free pattern to make some.

Photo is by Jill over at Homemade by Jill

Jill over at Homemade by Jill tried out this pattern and put a jingle bell inside. What a great idea huh? I made some the other day but have yet to stuff them, I need some jingle bells first.

I am in LOVE with these Black Apple dolls. They are super easy to make and would be the perfect gift for any little girl. Plus, there's a free pattern here so you can make a doll or even a dozen. I really like the pink doll with the headband or the blue bow. There are lots of ways to personalize them and add an accessory or two.

These are also from Jill over at Homemade by Jill

I am in the process of making some of these. But, being left handed and having lost my only scissors that actually cut I haven't finished them yet, but when I do I'll make sure to share them with you all. The little blue flower on the dress I love or how about those pockets?
Rag Quilt Letters Tutorial
This idea and picture is from Jessica at Happy Together

I came across this pattern for some rag quilt letters over at Sew Mama Sew. The moment I saw them I knew I had to make these for my daughter. The great thing is you don't really need that much fabric so you could just use up all your scraps. ( I have finished these and I'll post a picture soon of what they look like. )

HOME SWEET HOME - Dollhouse, Dolls, Kitchen, Table, Chairs, Bed, Pillow, Cradle, Rug, Stroller, Cat (Patterns and Instructions)
This pattern is available for purchase over at Bugga Bugs

A few months ago I came across this etsy shop called Bugga Bugs. She sells patterns to make things out of felt. The moment I saw this little doll house I fell in love. I don't think I realized how much you had to do for this pattern. I almost have the house done and was hoping to give it to my daughter for Christmas but I think it will have to wait until her birthday next year.
She offers some really cute patterns for a great price. So, if you are looking for a gift to make this would be perfect. But I'll warn you now there is a lot of sewing by hand but the end result is worth it.

I'm hoping this gives you some ideas of what you could make for those little ones this year. All of the patterns except the doll house are free. So, they are all very low cost. Have a great month everyone!
