Something for baby

I am now 24 weeks pregnant and hadn't even sewed anything for the baby. Can you believe it? It was about time that I made him something. So, while my daughter napped I made him a rag quilt. Similar to these.

I've done these before but just recently learned how to sew them in strips instead of individual squares. I fell in love with the star fabric right away and decided to pair it with this light blue flannel.
What I love about these rag quilts is they are super easy and simple to make. I made mine in a day. If you'd like me to put up a tutorial on how to make one of these let me know. I'd love to share the how to if some of you are interested.

Oh and did you know that September is National Sewing Month? Yep. Look for more sewing projects this month.

The observance of National Sewing Month began in 1982 with a proclamation from President Ronald Reagan declaring September as National Sewing Month “In recognition of the importance of home sewing to our Nation.”

  2. I'd love a tutorial! I've made rag quilts before but sewing each individual tiny square is rather sickening. Love to find a way to make them easier!
